Thuan Phat parish supports families whose relatives died of Covid-19

For recent days, Thuan Phat parish located in district 7 of Ho Chi Minh City has presented dozens of support packages to disadvantaged families whose relatives have died of Covid-19 the district, regardless of religion.

This program was organized in collaboration with Catholic businessmen in the city in response to the program namely "Spreading love" launched by the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, each of the families has been presented with three million VND in cash.

During the 4th outbreak of Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City, the parish has also gathered resources from donors for sending vegetables, fruits, rice, meat, free meals, etc. to the poor and the frontline medical force in the city.

Therefore, the parish and Chairman of the parish’s Pastoral Council Trần Ngọc Minh have been honored by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the district for its practical contributions to the Covid-19 prevention and control work.

Thuan Phat parish was established in 1961 in district 7’s Tan Kieng ward of Ho Chi Minh City. The parish currently has over 3,000 parishioners living in five wards of Tan Phong, Tan Kieng, Tan Quy, Tan Thuan Tay and Binh Thuan of the district.
