A training conference on knowledge of security and defense for religious dignitaries held on July 27-29 in Thua Thien Hue province.
The conference was co-organized by the Education Central Council for Defense and Security and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, and attended by about 250 religious dignitaries who are members of the 8th VFF Central Committee and representatives of religious organizations in provinces of Northern and Central Highlands.
Distinguished guests at the training included Lieutenant General Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Nguyễn Phương Nam, Vice Chairman of the VFF Central Committee Lê Bá Trình, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affair Dương Ngọc Tấn, and religious scholars and researchers.
The three-day training focused on guidelines and policies of the Party and State on national security and defense, including laws on Defense, National Security, Military Service, National border and Vietnam Sea.
