On September 25th , the eighth Congress of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) began its first working day: the Congress delegation visited on Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh and offered incense at the Monument of heroic martyrs; in the afternoon, a Preparatory Meeting was convened to approve such contents as: nomination of  Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress; Reporting on Congress delegates; approval of the regulation and working program of the Congress; Review of the Central VFF Committee....

As expected, members to the 8th Central VFF Committee include representatives from all classes, strata, ethnic peoples, religions, economic sectors and overseas Vietnamese. The new point regarding the composition of the 8th Central VFF Committee is the increased number of typical individuals  representing the working class and peasanty and the inclusion of representatives from small businesses and Mr. Lý Xương Căn, a 31st generation descendant of King Ly Thai To to the 8th  Central VFF Committee.

Pursuant to the Regulation of the Central VFF, the 8th Central VFF Committee has 385 members including 46 representative leaders of the member organizations, 63 leaders of the provincial VFF Committees; 261 typical individuals; 15 Officers in charge of daily works of Central VFF Committee./.
