The preparatory meeting of the fourth-term General Congress of Hòa Hảo Buddhism (2014 - 2019)

On May 21, 2014, at the An Hoa Tu Hall, Phu My town, Tan Phu district, An Giang province, the Central Executive Committee of Hòa Hảo Buddhism held a preparatory meeting of the fourth-term General Congress (2014 - 2019).
Attending the meeting were the Central Executive Committee of Hòa Hảo Buddhism, the Representative Board of Hòa Hảo Buddhism in cities and provinces and delegates representing 391 Executive Boards in communes, wards and towns of 17 provinces and cities.
At the meeting, delegates made decisions on important issues of Hòa Hảo Buddhism in the next term (2014 – 2019) such as: report of the third term activities (2009 - 2014), working plan for the Central Executive Committee of Hòa Hảo Buddhism in the fourth term (2014 -2019), Draft amendments of several articles of the Charter; nomination of the Central Executive Committee.
The Congress also called on delegates to support the fund for beloved islands and received supportive response from all delegates.
