The Executive Board of Tay Ninh’s Vietnam Buddhist opens the summer retreat 2014 – B.E 2558 - and celebrates Vesak

On May 3rd, 2014 at Phuoc Thanh pagoda, An Tinh commune, Trang Bang district, the Executive Board of Tay Ninh’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha solemnly held the opening ceremony for summer retreat 2014 – B.E.2558.
Attending the ceremony were: Most Venerable Thich Thong Nghiem - Member of the VBS Executive Council - Head of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh Ly - Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Trang Van Hai - Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department, representatives from local authorities and Buddhists inside and outside the province.

According to the Organization Committee, the three-month-summer retreat was held at 2 locations: Phuoc Thanh pagoda in An Tinh commune (for monks), and Niet Ban pagoda in An Hoa commune, Trang Bang district (for nuns).
On this occasion, Venerable Thich Minh Nhan – Abbot of Phuoc Thanh pagoda held solemnly Vesak celebrating B.E 2558.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr Trang Văn Hải delivered a speech and gave congratulation bouquets.
