The Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Southern) closes its 7th Council of Clergy General Conference

On August 28, a closing ceremony for the 7th Council of Clergy General Conference was held at Da Lat Protestant Church (Da Lat City, Lam Dong province).

According to the election result on the leadership of the Council of Clergy in 2014-2016 term, Pastor Lê Hoàng Long was reelected as Chairman, with Pastor Mã Phúc Hiệp as Vice Chairman, Pastor Nguyễn Thế Hiên as Secretary, and Pastor Y-ky Êban and Pastor Cilmup Ha Kar as Members.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Pastor Lê Hoàng Long, the new Chairman of the Council of Clergy promised to work closely with members of the Council of Clergy and the Executive Committee to guide followers to “live for right purpose” - the guiding theme set by this 7th General Conference, and to dedicate his best for the religious faith and activities.

The closing ceremony was joyfully concluded in the presence of Pastor Phan Vĩnh Cự, President of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Southern); Pastor Lê Hoàng Long, Chairman of the Council of Clergy; Pastor Phùng Quang Huyến, Second Vice President; Pastor Bùi Văn Thiệu, Chairman of the Pastoral Service under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North); Members of the Council of Clergy; Pastors, Commissioned Pastors, Evangelists, Evangelist volunteers and a large number of Protestant followers.
