Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and An Giang’s Vietnam Fatherland Front.

This year's celebration was held in 19 provinces and cities at 383 places in which 133 places are in An Giang.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Tấn Đạt – Executive Chairman of the Central Management Committee of the Hòa Hảo Buddhism stated the Church’s determination to build unity and guide believers to live for "better religious and secular life". He also expressed his deep thanks to state authorities at all levels for creating favorable conditions for the Church to successfully hold this important event.
