The Thay Thim Palace Festival 2019 took place from October 12-14 at the Thay Thim historical site located in La Gi town’s Tan Tien commune, Binh Thuan province.
The Thay Thim Palace Festival 2019 celebrating the 22nd Anniversary of the recognition of Thay Thim palace as a national historical relic drew thousands of locals and visitors.
The festival is held annually for honoring Thay and Thim who taught fishermen how to fishing, and praying for the favorable weather and bumper crop.
The festival featured incense-offering and worshipping rituals, and cultural activities such as tug of war, knitting, photo exhibition, and performances of unicorn, lion & dragon, etc.
This festival, also called Autumn Festival, is one of two important festive events of Thay Thim palace relic site, deeply bearing the traditions of the coastal region.
