Thanksgiving mass for bishopric service to Da Lat Diocese

Bishop Antonio Vũ Huy Chương led a thanksgiving mass held on September 24 in Tan Thanh Parish Church located in Bao Loc City on occasion of his bishopric retirement as Bishop of Da Lat.

The event saw the presence of Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Đức Cường of Thanh Hoa Diocese, New Bishop of Da Lat Diocese Dominic Nguyễn Văn Mạnh, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Văn Đức, 200 Catholic clergy from Da Lat and other dioceses, and thousands of parishioners in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

During the mass, Bishop Antonio Vũ Huy Chương thanked Catholic dignitaries and followers of Da Lat Diocese, as well as local authorities for their support extended to the Catholic leader during his service as Bishop of Da Lat.

Bishop Antonio Vũ Huy Chương born was born in 1944, ordained as Priest in 1971, and installed as Bishop of Ðà Lạt in 2011. In 2019, Pope Francis accepted his retirement and appointed prelate Dominic Nguyễn Văn Mạnh as the new bishop of Da Lat Diocese.
