Tay Ninh provincial authorities extend traditional festival greetings to Ta Mun ethnic group

On October 14, a delegation from Tay Ninh provincial authorities visited and extended best wishes to Ta Mun ethnic groups on occasion of Sa Uool Co Ka Mool traditional festival in Ninh Thanh ward of Tay Ninh city.

The delegation included representatives from the People’s Council, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, and the Management Board of Ninh Phuoc Caodai parish under Tay Ninh Caodai Church.

Welcoming the delegation was village chief Lâm Văn Ron and a large number of Ta Mun ethnic people.

Influenced by Khmer culture, Ta Mun ethnic people in Tay Ninh province in general, and in Ninh Thanh ward in particularly celebrates Sa Uool Cô Ka Mool festival from late of the eight lunar month to early of the nine lunar month. Like Sene Dolta festival of Khmer communities, the festival was annually held to commemorate, pay respect and tribute to the parents and ancestors.

On this occasion, representatives from the local authorities presented gifts and extended best wishes to Ta Mun ethnic group at Ninh Thanh ward.
