The Representative Committee of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Tay Ninh province solemnly held a meeting on December 29 to review its performance in 2020 and approve working plans for 2021.
The event taking place in Truong An parish in Tay Ninh province’s Hoa Thanh town saw the participation of Bishop Head of the Caodai representative committee Thái Thọ Thanh, members of the committee and representatives from the management board of 79 Caodai parishes in the province.
As reported at the event, during the year, Caodai followers from the local parishes spent over 36 billion VND on social and charitable programs for presenting gifts to the disadvantaged, building charity houses for the poor and local rural roads, presenting scholarships, bicycles to pupils and providing free health-check and medicines to poor locals. In particular, the representative committee of the Caodai sect has successfully raised over 4.5 billion VND amongst members of the Tay Ninh Caodai church for supporting local authorities in building 91 charity houses in the province.
