The Department of Grassroots Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a dispatch requesting the strengthening of the management and organization of festivals in 2022.
The dispatch No. 79/VHCS-NSVH sent to provinces and cities in the country was signed by Director of the Grassroots Culture Department Ninh Thị Thu Hương
Accordingly, the grassroots culture department asked relic sites, belief and worshipping places to strengthen propaganda work on law observance and the Covid-19 epidemic prevention for locals and visitors.
In addition, localities are requested to strengthern advocasy work in order to reduce votive papers burning and preserve fine traditions during festivals.
The grassroots culture department also asked the provincial-level culture department of provinces and cities to strengthen inspection and supervision work before, during and after festivals in order to promptly prevent and strictly handle acts of taking advantage of relics and festivals for individual intesrests, inciting violence, circulating and trading in illegal cultural products, including deviant astrological remedies, lucky seal distributions, and heresies and deviant faiths, etc.
