During the visit, Vice President Đặng Thị Ngọc Thịnh offered incense to the Queen of silkworm Đoàn Quý Phi who had made great contributions in sharing experiences to the field of planting mulberries, raising silkworms and making silk. She also visited traditional silk village in Hoi An city and enjoyed exhibitions on products of silk from numerous Vietnamese famous trade villages which gathered in the festival.

The Vietnam-Asia Silk and Brocade Cultural Festival in Hoi An silk village with the participation of 12 silk and brocade villages in Vietnam aimed to honor artisans, traditional craft villages and famous silk and brocade making sites at home and abroad, as well as promote Hoi An heritage and tailoring services to international visitors and silk producers around the world.
