With the diversity and attractiveness of spiritual tourist sites and beauty spots combined, Ha Tinh province has become an attractive destination for visitors in the first days of the spring.
According to statistics, the number of tourists touring cultural attractions during the beginning of this year has been suddenly increased to approximately 600,000, of which, visitors from other provinces in the country accounted for nearly 30%. Spiritual destinations, historic and cultural sites seeing high increases of visitors included Memorial sites of Former Party General Secretary Trần Phú, Former Party General Secretary Hà Huy Tập and renowned poet Nguyễn Du, Eco-tourism zone Hải Thượng Lãn Ông Lê Hữu Trác, Huong Tich pagoda, temples of Khe Giao Goddess, Le Khoi, Cho Cui, Nguyễn Thị Bích Châu, etc. Huong Tich pagoda alone has welcomed 300,000 visitors.
For many people, offering incense at historic and cultural sites in the first days of the spring aimed to express their gratitude to those rendered great merits to the country, enjoy festive moments, as well as pray for peace and prosperity in the new year. The good weather on occasion of the Lunar New Year festival also created favorable conditions for visitors’ traveling.
“Spiritual destinations on occasion of the beginning of the new year have become favorite spots. Therefore, worshipping places need to be renovated, as well as the advertisement and quality of tourist service need to be promoted in order to better meet visitors’ needs”, Chairman of Ha Tinh province Tourism Association Hồ Việt Anh said.
