Tuong Nguyen temple charity group in Ho Chi Minh city in collaboration with the Eye Department under Phuong Dong hospital performed on August 19 eye surgeries for 113 poor people with the total cost of nearly VND 100 million.
Tuong Nguyen charity group has also started the construction of a new concrete bridge in Hoa An commune in An Giang province’s Cho Moi district with 32m long and 2.7 m wide at the total investment nearly 400 million VND.
In addition, on August 18, the charity group handed over three completed concrete bridges called Tuong Nguyen 266, Tuong Nguyen 244 and Tuong Nguyen 265 in Tien Giang province’s Cai Be district with the total construction cost of VND 675 million.
Performing eye surgeries to poor people at Phuong Dong hospital
Earlier, the charity group also provided from August 11-12 free medical examinations and medicines for 2,000 poor people in Tien Giang province’s Tan Phuoc district and Ben Tre province’s Mo Cay Nam district at the value of VND 360 million.
The total value of the charity programs were over VND 1.5 billion
