As reviewed at the fifth national congress for the 2019-2024 tenure held on June 4-5 in An Giang, the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church recorded remarkable results in social and charitable activities during the past term.
During the 2104-2019 term, social charities of the Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church reached the value of over VND 192 thousand billion through implementing programs for building charity houses and rural bridges, operating charity kitchens and herbal pharmacies, providing medical and material supports for the poor, etc.
In addition, the Church also signed with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee a cooperation agreement on environment protection and climate change adaptation and set up the education promotion unit under the grassroots-level executive board in localities.
