Over the past five years, Catholic followers in the locality contributed over VND 18 billion to social charities such as providing free health checks and medicines, presenting wheelchairs to people with disabilities, building charity houses and rural bridges, etc. They also bought health insurance cards for 12 disadvantaged people in the parishes.

In the field of education, Catholic followers in the province supported and presented scholarships, books, and bicycles to pupils and students worth over VND 11 billion.

In addition, the provincial Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics also joint a coordination program on protection environment and climate change adaptation for the 2017-2020 period signed between the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, Department of natural resources and environment and religious organizations in the locality.

Acknowledging practical contributions by Catholics in the province, local authorities presented certificates of merit to 10 Catholic groups and 10 individuals for their outstanding contributions in the patriotic movements in the 2012-2017 period during the general meeting of the provincial committee for solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics held on May 25.
