For recent years, religious dignitaries and followers in Bac Lieu province proactively have responded to the campaign for following Uncle Ho’s moral example by practical contributions.
Head of Hung Vinh Tu temple under the Pure Land Buddhist Association have registered with the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for conducting free health checks and distribution of medicines to local people.
In Hong Dan district, the Ante-Creation Caodai Church was also considered as a good example in studying and following the Uncle Ho’s moral example. Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Church Trần Văn Đức proactively encouraged followers to study and follow the Uncle Ho’s moral example during religious meetings and preaching.
Besides, dignitaries of the Caodai Church in the province provided supports to the poor and made contributions for building charitable houses, as well as collaborated with doctors from Ho Chi Minh city in organization of medical charity programs for local people.
