The signing conference was organized by the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in collaboration with the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment and religious organizations in the province.

The signing event also discussed measures for local religious organizations to develop pilot models for environmental protection and climate change adaptation, encourage the use of renewable energy, food and the protection of trees in the religious establishments and residential areas, and apply for financial support from the State budget and international assistance for environmental protection and climate change adaptation.  

As signatories to the coordinating program on environmental protection and climate change adaptation, religious organizations also committed to encourage religious followers and local communities to reduce activities and lifestyle deteriorating the climate change, including deforestation and use of toxic in agricultural production causing harm to the environment, and to provide self-help skills and relief for victims in case of natural diseases in localities.
