On June 15th, 2014, the Executive Board of Soc Trang’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) organized a training course for fostering Buddhist administrative knowledge and abbot profession for 215 Buddhist dignitaries, monks and nuns ... from the pagodas, temples, and shrines in the province.
During seven days training (from June 15-21), participants learnt contents such as: meaning of dharma (Kinh Luật luận); Abbot’s duties in the internal and external relation; Charter of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Buddhist administrative knowledge and formality of administrative documents…

According to Venerable Thích Thiện Sanh, Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Soc Trang’s VBS, this training course intended to help the Buddhist monks, nuns and Buddhists improve Buddhist administration, keep Buddhist disciplines and contents relating to religious activities; to enhance the sense of responsibility in guiding monks, nuns and Buddhists to practice religion in accordance with the Charter of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and State’ policies and laws.
