Chairwoman Hồ Thị Cẩm Đào of the provincial People's Council said Soc Trang has implemented the Party’s guidelines and State's policies for the Khmer ethnic group. This has led to significant improvements in socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, enhancing the material and spiritual well-being of the locals.

Ms. Đào expressed her hope that all Khmer compatriots and monks will uphold the tradition of national unity, engage in patriotic activities, contribute to building new rural areas, and preserve their cultural identity.

Thạch Ngọc Bá, a prestigious villager in Long Phu district, said, "the government is focused on investing in infrastructure in ethnic minority areas. They are building wider bridges and roads to facilitate trade, and constructing spacious schools and medical facilities to better serve our communities."
