As informed at the meeting, the Catholic congress, themed “Catholics in Hanoi toward national construction and defense”, will gather over 350 official delegates representing 193,000 Catholics from three dioceses of Hanoi, Hung Hoa and Bac Ninh with 53 Catholic parishes and approximately 400 communities, and so far all of the delegates that have been nominated from district-level Catholic solidarity boards.

The two-day event will review patriotic movements contributing to national construction and defense in Catholic communities in Hanoi over the past five years, as well as nominate 90 members to the municipal Catholic solidarity committee for the seventh tenure (2017-2022).
