The 7th congress of Catholics for national construction and defense in Khanh Hoa province for 2022-2027 tenure was successfully held on December 6.

The event saw the presence of Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Tấn Tuân, Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh, President of the Central Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics, and 234 Catholic delegates in the province.
The event reviewed results of social activities of the local Catholic community for the 2017-2022 tenure.
New Catholic Solidarity Committee in Khanh Hoa for the 2022 – 2027 tenure makes its debut
The congress selected 90 members to the Catholic Solidarity Committee in Khanh Hoa for the 2022 – 2027 tenure with Priest Nicolas Nguyễn Hòa, Head of Phu Sa parish (Vinh Ngoc commune, Nha Trang city) elected as Head of the Committee.
As reported at the event, Khanh Hoa province currently has 135,000 Catholic followers with 77 parishes, 26 Catholic congregations, and 243 priests.
On the occasion, local authorities presented certificates of commendation to 16 Catholic groups and 37 individuals for their outstanding contributions during the 2017-2022 tenure.
