A seminar themed “Approaches to studies of Buddhist culture in Hue” was held on December 19 in Hue City by the Historical Science Association in Thua Thien Hue province in collaboration with Lieu Quan Buddhist Culture Center.
The seminar was co-chaired by Most Venerable Thích Hải Ấn, Director of the Buddhist Institute in Hue cum Head of Lieu Quan Buddhist Culture Center, and Dr. Phan Tiến Dũng, Head of the provincial Historical Science Association.
Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Phan Tiến Dũng, Head of the provincial Historical Science Association briefed the development of Buddhism in Hue in particular, and Central and Southern regions in general.
The seminar participants also highlighted heritages of the Buddhist woodblocks, steles, and musics currently preserved in Hue, which have contributed to enrich to the cultural identities of Hue and the country.
