On August 26, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with Hai Duong and Bac Giang Provinces’ Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism organized a seminar on defining global typical values of the Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscape in order to develop nomination documents to submit to UNESCO for world heritage recognition.

At the seminar, organizers received 39 contributions and 16 opinions to identify outstanding universal values of Yen Tu Relic and Landscape Complex, serving the process of developing nomination documents to submit to UNESCO for world heritage recognition.

Attendants agreed that nomination documents should be titled “The Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscape”. The complex is located at the intersection of three provinces, namely Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, and Hai Duong with 62 attraction sites and 5 nuclei which are special national relics in the provinces. This is the basis for the three provinces to make final decisions in developing nomination documents. It is expected that the summarized dossier will be completed on September 30 to submit to UNESCO.
