The social charity board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Chapter in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with local authorities inaugurated on December 20 two rural, concrete bridges in Hoa Tan commune of Dong Thap province’s Chau Thanh district.
The construction of Kinh Cu bridge with 20m long and 3.7m wide, and Kinh Hai Bridge with 22m long and 3,7m with, costing about 432 million VND and 467 million VND respectively, has been completed with funding raised by the Buddhist social charity board and support from local authorities and people.
On the same day, the concrete bridge called Ba A with 30m long and 3.7m wide in Tan Phu commune of Chau Thanh district, completed at the construction cost of 310 million VND, was also inaugurated with Buddhist fund-raising from Tham - Kah – Lun in Ho Chi Minh City and other sponsors.
The new bridges have practically contributed to improve the travelling and transportation of goods in the upcoming lunar New Year of the Buffalo 2021.
