The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Ha Nam held the closing ceremony of the summer retreat course 2018 on August 21 in Cai Bau pagoda located in Phu Ly city.
The event saw the participation of Seniour Thích Thanh Quyết, Deputy of the Vietnam National Assembly at the 14 Legislature (2016-2021 tenure), Vice President of the VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the Executive Committee of the VBS chapter in Ha Nam
As reported at the ceremony, the three-month retreat course in Ha Nam this year took place at three pagoda venues of Bau in Phu Ly city, Te Xuyen in Ly Nhan district and But Thuong in Duy Tien district, with the participation of 310 monks and nuns.
During the course, the organizing board has invited the provincial committee for religious affairs to introduce key contents of the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 and its guiding decree No. 162 that have both taken effect since January this year.
