Caodaim was founded in 1926 in the Vietnam’s southern province of Tay Ninh with the official name as “The Third Great Universal Salvation”
In 2008, an alliance of Caodai sects was established for promoting exchanges in social and religious affairs.
The networking alliance has drawn the voluntary participation of nine Caodai churches, one Caodai practicing group, Minh Ly faith and other five independent Caodai groups.
Since 2008, the Caodai alliance has held 12 exchange conferences. The 12th conference took place in March 2019 and hosted by Minh Chon Caodai Church.
In religious training, the Caodai alliance has held 629 parish-level training courses for over 41,000 dignitaries and deacons of joining Caodai sects.
Regarding social charities, the group of Caodai sects made a contributed value of VND 343 billion in social charities programs for the needy and the disadvantaged in localities in the last 11 years.
The Caodai alliance has spent a total of over VND 500 billion for building and upgrading over 300 worshipping oratories.
The Caodai networking group has established a monthly Caodai magazine, including its online at www.tapchiliengiaocaodai.org.vn.
The Caodai alliance has held a grand ceremony for celebrating the 90th founding anniversary of Caodaism, and four symposiums with over 1,000 delegates on occasion of the 90th anniversary of Caodaism.
