Over the past year, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Quang Binh province actively encouraged devotees, sponsors and charitable groups to support flood victims in the locality.
Responding to an appeal of the Central VBS, the provincial Buddhist Chapter has guided and coordinated with over 120 charitable delegations across the country in sending reliefs to flood victims in Quang Binh province, in which over 45,100 gift sets at the total value of over VND 20 billion have been distributed to local people.
The Buddhist Chapter also annually presents rice to 80 flood-hit families around Dong Hoi city with the contributing value of over 120 million each year.
