Requiems for martyrs held in Ha Tinh

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Ha Tinh province in collaboration with local authorities has held requiems at martyrs’ cemeteries in the locality on occasion of the 73th War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th).  

On July 23, the VBS chapter’s executive committee commemorated the 52th death anniversary of ten female martyrs at Dong Loc junction with the presence of Secretary of the provincial Party’ Committee Lê Đình Sơn and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Trần Tiến Hưng.

On July 25, Buddhist clergies and lay followers in the province’s Huong Sơn district visited and offered incense at Nam international martyr’s cemetery in the locality.

The VBS’s chapter in the province’s Nghi Xuan district and Ky Anh town held the requiem on July 26 at the monument of President Hồ Chí Minh.

During the events, Buddhists and participating officials offered incense, lid candles and flowers, and performed Buddhist traditional rites to pray for the spiritual uplifting of fallen soldiers.
