Requiem for victims of traffic accidents held in Tien Giang

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Tien Giang province in collaboration with the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Traffic Safety Committee and held on November 17 a requiem to pray for traffic accident victims. 

The requiem was held at the Cultural Center of Tien Giang province’s My Tho City and attended by Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Huệ Minh, representatives of local authorities, and large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries, followers and locals in the locality.

During the event, Director of the provincial Department of Transportation Trần Văn Bon read the traffic safety message of National Traffic Safety Committee as well as called on everyone to strictly comply with traffic laws and promote traffic culture.

The requiem featured solemn Buddhist rituals and practices aimed to help victims of traffic accidents achieve peace and spiritual uplifting.
