The social charity board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee and Vinh Nghiem Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city held on April 12 a charitable program for sending supports to locals of Phuong Quy Parish located in Kon Tum city.
During the program, 500 gift sets, each containing antibacterial facemasks, ten kilogram of rice and one crate of noodles, were sent to Phuong Quy parishioners.
At the program, Priest Head of Phuong Quy Parish Benedict Nguyễn Văn Bình thanked for Buddhists from Ho Chi Minh City for their supports sent to local Catholics on Easter Day.
According to Venerable Member of the economics and finance committee of the Central VBS Thích Đồng Sỹ, the program is a part of many charitable activities held by the Buddhist social-charitable board and Vinh Nghiem Pagoda for helping people in the Central Highlands during the Covid-19 pandemic.
