Religious organizations presents gifts to soldiers, volunteers in Covid-19 pandemic fighting

On June 4, Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church cum Chairman of the Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church’s representative committee in Can Tho city Lê Văn Thưởng led a delegation to visit soldiers and volunteers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic at quarantine checkpoints in Can Tho city.

The delegation presented gifts of facemasks, drinking water and milk, worth 5.6 million VND in total, to two quarantine checkpoints in Vam Cong bridge, Thoi Thuan ward of Thot Not district and Kinh E bridge in Can Tho city’s Vinh Thanh district.

Earlier, on June 2, a delegation from Tay Ninh Caodai Church led by Bishop Thái Thọ Thanh, Chairman of the Church’s representative committee in Tay Ninh province paid a visit to Lo Go border gate inTay Ninh province’s Tan Bien district.

During the visit, the Caodai delegation presented gift sets containing rice, noodles, sugar, soy sauces, canned foods, etc, worth 46 million VND in total.

From May 27 to June 1, Nun Thích nữ Vũ Liên, Abbess of Xuan Vien Pagoda in Bac Ninh city and volunteers have presented gift sets to field hospitals set up for treating Covid-19 patients in Bac Ninh province.

The delegation handed over food and other necessities, worth 140 million VND to field hospitals of No. 1 (Tien Du district), No. 2 and No. 4, as well as Bac Ninh General Hospital, Gia Binh medical centre, and Bắc Ninh Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
