Religious organizations in Ninh Binh extend Tet greetings to local authorities

Secretary of Ninh Binh province’s Party Committee Nguyễn Thị Thanh has hosted receptions for visiting delegations of Buddhist and Catholic organizations in the province, on occasion of Vietnam’s Traditional New Year (Tet) 2018.  

During the visiting receptions, Bishop of Phat Diem Diocese Joseph Nguyễn Năng, Senior Venerable Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Ninh Binh province Thích Thọ Lạc and representatives of the Catholic solidarity committee in the province extended Tet wishes to leaders and officials of the provincial government. They also expressed belief that Ninh Binh province will record further achievements in socio-economic development in 2018.

Speaking with the guests, Secretary Nguyễn Thị Thanh thanked religious dignitaries for their visit and wishes and took the chance to inform them on results of social developments recorded in Ninh Binh over the past year.

The head of the Party committee in the province also highlighted practical contributions by local followers of Buddhism and Catholicism and urged them to further uphold fine traditions for social unity and sustainable development in the province.
