Gia Lai provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee, Department of Natural Resources and Environment and local religious organizations signed a five-year coordinating program for environmental protection and climate change response at a meeting held on November 7.
During the event, the coordinating program for 2017-2022 period has been signed by the representatives of five religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Caodaism and Baha’i in the locality.
As part of the program, the provincial VFF, Department of Natural Resources and the religious organizations will work together for environmental protection and climate change adaptation through activities including dissemination of state laws, action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee on the issue, updating information on environmental situation, developing working plans and typical models of environmental protection and climate change response by religious organizations in the locality.
