Religious organizations extend Tet greetings to Ninh Binh authorities

Deputy Secretary of Ninh Binh province’s Party Committee Trần Hồng Quảng has hosted on January 22 receptions for visiting delegations of Buddhist and Catholic organizations in the province, ahead of traditional Lunar New Year 2019.

During the visiting receptions, Senior Venerable Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Ninh Binh province Thích Thọ Lạc, Bishop of Phat Diem Diocese Joseph Nguyễn Năng and representatives of the Catholic solidarity committee in the province extended Tet wishes to officials  and public servants of the provincial government. They also took the chance to thank local authorities for attention and supports extended to religious organizations over the past years.

Speaking with the guests, Deputy Secretary Trần Hồng Quảng thanked religious dignitaries for their visit and wishes. He took the chance to brrief on results of socio-economic development in Ninh Binh over the past year.

The Deputy Secretary also highlighted practical contributions by local followers of Buddhism and Catholicism and called on them to proactively take part in local movements, contributing to the socio-economic development in the locality.
