Severe flooding in October in the North Central of Vietnam in general and Quang Binh province particular has left devastating consequences to local people.
Religious groups nationwide have actively supported affected areas in the worst-hit province of Quang Binh.
Many Buddhist and Catholic groups in the province as well as from provinces and cities across the country were amongst organizations early responding to people severely affected by the natural calamity in the province.
The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Ho Chi Minh City raised VND 11.3 billion from Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the city, in response to a calling to help flood-hit victims in the north central region.
The Pastoral Center of the Most Holy Redeemer Congregation in Ho Chi Minh City has sent a delegation to present relief to 709 families in flood-hit communes of Quang Trung, Quang Thuan, Quang Lien,… in Quang Binh Province’s Ba Don Town.

Many other groups of religions have also been sending support and relief for helping people in Quang Binh Province in Vietnam’s North Central region to overcome difficulties and pain as results of losses of life and property caused by severe flood this year.
