Dong Nai provincial Religious Committee and Women Union reviewed collaboration activities for promoting roles of religious women for the 2013-2017 period at a meeting held on March 29.
The event saw the participation of Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hòa Hiệp and representatives from the provincial Religious Committee and Women Union.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Hòa Hiệp praised positive results made by the provincial religious committee and women union during the past five years. He also urged the two sides to closely coordinate to promote roles of religious women in implementing State’s policies and laws.
During the meeting, the two sides signed the coordinating plan of the mobilization work toward religious women in implementing State’s policies and laws for the 2018-2022 period.
On the occasion, local authorities presented certificates of merit to 64 organizations and individuals with outstanding contributions to the women movement and the coordination on religious affairs for the period 2013-2017. 41 typical nuns also received certificates of merit by the provincial religious committee and women union.
