Religious committee, Buddhist chapter in Bac Ninh present Tet gifts to disadvantaged locals

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Bac Ninh province and the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs organized a charitable program for disadvantaged people in the province on January 13-16, ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year 2020.  

During the program in collaboration with Thien Tam Fund of Vin Group, 1,198 gift sets, each worth VND 600,000 were presented to poor people in districts of Tien Du, Yen Phong, Que Vo, Thuan Thanh, Luong Tai, Gia Binh, Tu Son town and Bac Ninh city, as well as to orphans and children with down syndrome, autism, polio and other disabilities being taken care at charitable centers of religious organizations in the province.

The event is the sixth charitable program held in collaboration between the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Bac Ninh province, the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, and Thien Tam Fund to present Tet gifts to poor locals.
