For the past six months, religions in the Southern province of Dong Nai have proactively joint local authorities’ efforts for environmental protection and climate change adaptation.
Many local religious organizations in the province have actively engaged in models developed and launched in the locality for environmental protection and climate change response. These religious engagement models have drawn the participation of Vinh Son Catholic Community, Buddhists of Huyen Quang Pagoda, Phu Ly Catholic Parish, etc.
In addition, Tinh Nghiem Pagoda, Giuse Catholic Parish, An Hoa Temple and Hung Kings Worshipping Temple in the province in collaboration with concerning provincial authorities have signed commitments to implement pilot programs for protecting the environment, as well as keeping the religious places clean and green, and promoting waste classification and recycling measures.
