The Management Board of Tan Chau parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in An Giang province held the ground-breaking ceremony to construct its new oratory on March 18.
Attending the ceremony were Cardinal President of Tay Ninh Caodai Church Thượng Tám Thanh, Bishop Head of the Church’s Representative Committee in An Giang and large numbers of dignitaries, deacons and followers in localities.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Huỳnh Thành Cư and representatives from local authorities.
Tan Chau Caodai oratory was built in 1958 and has been upgraded several times. For meeting current needs of religious practices by local followers of the Caodai Church, the oratory will be reconstructed at a estimated cost of VND seven billion./.
