Quang Ninh province: Statue casting ceremony for Ngoa Van Pagoda

On November 22, at An Sinh Temple located in the Tran Dynasty Historical Relic Site, Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Church Executive Committee held a ceremony to cast Buddhist statues for Ngoa Van Pagoda.

Attending the ceremony were a large numbers of Buddhist followers inside and outside the province.

During the ceremony, Nam Dinh province artists molded 11 bronze statues from 1.26 m to 1.5 m in height, including statues of three patriarchs of Truc Lam Zen Buddhist school (King Trần Nhân Tông, Pháp Loa and Huyền Quang).

At the ceremony, local authorities of Dong Trieu town presented VND 5.5 billion contributed by local people to the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee.

The provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee is expected to bring  the statues to Ngoa Van pagoda in  Bao Dai Mountain on December 6.
