Quang Ngai provincial Committee for Religious Affairs held a conference on May 5 for disseminating religious laws to key Buddhist followers in the locality.
Attending the disseminating event included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Vĩnh Lạc and 150 monks, nuns and leading Buddhists in Buddhist family groups in the locality.
During the one-day conference, Chairman Nguyễn Vĩnh Lạc presented the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion, including Decree No.92/2012/NĐ-CP dated 8/11/2012 of Government detailing and providing measures for the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, Circular No.01/2013/TT-BNV dated 18/5/2015 issuing forms of administrative procedures on belief and religion and Joint Circular No. 04/2014/TTLT-BVHTTDL-BNV dated May 30th, 2014 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ministry of Home Affairs on making civilized life styles in belief – related and religious establishments..
Besides, participants also learnt the current laws on election of members of the National Assembly and local-level People’s Councils for the period 2016-2021.
The conference also created an opportunity for discussion and dialogue on numbers of practical issues relating to Buddhist practices in the locality.
