On April 2, the Protestant Board on Social and Medical in Quang Nam province conducted a charitable program for helping Protestant followers and local people in the province’s Bac Tra My district.
The event saw participation of Commissioned Pastor Head of the Protestant Board on Social and Medical Ông Văn Tín, members from Duong Yen Church and heads of Protestant congregations in the locality.
The charitable program handed over 160 gift boxes, with 40 boxes presented to local people. Each gift pack contained rice and other essentials, and the total amount of gifts is estimated about VND32 million.
It’s reported that Duong Yen Protestant Church has around 1,200 followers, in which about 500 believers belong to ethnic minority groups. The Church is building its worshipping establishment on an area of over 900m2 and its construction is expected to be complete later this year.
