The Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) in Quang Binh province held on July 2 a meeting to honor “Good People, Good Deeds” in Catholic communities for 2015-2020 period.
The event saw the presence of Chairwoman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Phạm Thị Hân and representatives from relevant agencies.
According to the meeting report, over the past five years, the programs and movements launched by the provincial CSVC in Catholic communities have brought many practical results. Through these programs and movements, many Catholics have made outstanding contributions to socio-economic development in the province, especially poverty reduction and other social charities in the locality.
During the event, 20 Catholics received certificates of merit from the Central CSVC, the provincial People’s Committee and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for their practical contributions to the socio-economic development in the locality for the 2015-2020 tenure.
