From November 29-30, a charity delegation from Kim Phong Pagoda – Than Dinh Mountain presented gifts to poor families in flooding areas of Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts in Quang Binh province.
The charity delegation led by Venerable Abbot of Kim Phong Pagoda Thích Trung Sơn visited Truong Xuan mountainous commune in Quang Ninh district and presented 200 gift sets to poor Van Kieu people in Khe Ngang village and poor households in Rao Da village. Each gift set included rice, noodle, sugar and VND 300,000 in cash.
At Khe Nuoc Lanh area in Le Thuy district’s Ngan Thuy commune, 100 gift sets including VND 300,000 in cash and necessities for daily life, such as clothes, blankets,rice, noodle, etc were presented to people seriously affected by the flood.
The total charity program was valued at nearly VND 200 million, which raised by Venerable Thích Trung Sơn.
