The provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee held a ceremony to install the Buddha statue in the main worshipping building of Dai Giac pagoda (Duc Ninh Dong ward, Dong Hoi city) and New Year’s Eve celebration on February 12.
Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Thích Tánh Nhiếp, Chairman of the Quang Binh provincial VBS Executive Committee, dignitaries of the provincial VBS Executive Committee and about 200 Buddhists in the locality.
Local guests at the ceremony included representatives of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, and local authorities of Dong Hoi city and Duc Ninh Dong ward.
