The Central Executive Committee of the Pure-Land Buddhist Home Association held on October 12 a ceremony to commemorate the 59th death anniversary of Patriarch Minh Trí at Hung Minh Tu temple in Ho Chi Minh city.
The event saw the participation Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Pure-Land Buddhist Home Association Nguyễn Văn Tuy and a large number of followers of the Buddhist association in the city.
Distinguished guests at the event included Director of Other religions Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Ánh Chức and the city’s authorities’ representatives.
During the event, the Central Executive Committee of the Buddhist association recalled religious contributions and teachings of Master Minh Trí – Founder of the Buddhist sect.
After the commemoration ceremony, the Central Executive Committee also reviewed its performance in the first six months of 2017.
