Hung Kien temple chapter under the Pure-Land Buddhist Association located in Kien Giang province’s Go Quao district held on May 3 the general meeting for the 2018 – 2023 tenure.
Attending the event were Chairman of the provincial Executive Committee of the Pure-Land Buddhist Association Thái Thành Tâm, representatives from executive committee of Pure-Land Buddhist chapters in the province and about 70 delegates representing the district chapter.
New executive board of the Pure-Land Buddhist chapter for the 2018 – 2023 tenure makes debut
The general meeting discussed results of social-religious activities of the Pure-land Buddhist chapter during the past term. As reported at the meeting, during the last tenure, the chapter contributed nearly VND 2 billion to social, charity activities.
The event also elected 12 members to the executive board of the Pure-Land Buddhist chapter for the 2018 – 2023 tenure with Mr. Lư Thuận Hiệp reappointed as Head of the executive board.
