In respond to a campaign calling for public support for the country’s fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, on June 3, Deputy Secretary of the Buddhist association’s executive committee Nguyễn Văn Giàu presented 300 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for contributing to the Covid-19 vaccine fund.
In the new complicated context of Covid-19 pandemic in localities, the Central Executive Committee of the Pure-land Buddhist Association has joined hands with authorities in the pandemic fight and suspended medical examinations at all of its traditional clinics and the celebration of the Buddha Birthday 2021.
The Buddhist Association’s Executive Committee also canceled a planned conference on religious administration and medical charity 2021.
